The problem

Each system works. The trouble is the space between them.

The software holding production and stock, a floor reporting output on paper, a scanner in the warehouse, accounting in a system of its own, and a spreadsheet somebody maintains by hand. Every one of them does its job. None of them was built knowing the others exist.

So the joining up falls to people: re-typing, exporting, checking one screen against another. That work is what we replace — and it is the main thing we are hired for.

The first one is the job. The rest are usually how it gets done.

Making separate systems work as one

This is the main thing we do, and most of our hours are in manufacturing. A system holding production and stock, a floor that still reports on paper, scanners in the warehouse, accounting sitting to one side — each part does its job, none of them knows about the others, and the joining up falls to whoever remembers how. We build the connections so it does not have to.

AutoCount: plugins, customisation, cloud

The deepest single area we work in. Plugins that make it do something it did not do out of the box, customisation shaped to how a particular business actually runs, and — where the office door is the limit — putting the account book somewhere it can be reached from outside. Whichever of those it is, the software on the desk carries on exactly as it did.

Not a chat box bolted to the front of something. We look for the step a person repeats every day — reading the delivery order nobody wants to retype, chasing an approval, pulling the same figure out of two systems — and take that step out of the day.

The conditions are yours to set, not ours to hard-code. You decide what is worth interrupting someone about — a level crossed, a threshold passed, a silence where there should have been activity — and it watches for exactly that. What counts as worth knowing differs from one business to the next, which is why the same service can sit behind a factory, a distributor and a workshop without becoming a different product in each.

What kind of businesses do you usually work with?
Mostly industrial — manufacturing and warehousing, the kind of operation running a system for production and stock with accounting alongside it. On the accounting side, AutoCount plugins and integration are where we have put in the most hours.
Do we have to replace the software we already have?
No — we make the one you have do more. It stays where it is, and we build onto it: integrations that reach what it could not, plugins that add what it never did. Your team keeps the system it already knows how to use, and that system gets stronger instead of replaced.
Will this slow the system down, or change what the floor sees?
No. The screens your people already use stay as they are, and the reading happens over an encrypted connection, separately from the people working in the system. Nobody has to be retrained because of us.
Can you work alongside our own developers?
Yes, and we would rather. If you already have a team, or you are one, we do not need the whole project — take us for the part that fits, the integration or the plugin or the connection nobody wants to own, and keep the rest in-house.
What happens after it goes live?
We stay with it. Systems get upgraded and businesses change shape, and an integration nobody looks after quietly stops being an asset — so keeping it running, and changing it when what it connects to changes, is part of the work rather than an afterthought.
